AI Wrong-Answer Fixes
ChatGPT says you closed last year. Gemini quotes a price from 2022. Perplexity lists a service you stopped offering. We find where each wrong answer comes from, correct it at the source and keep checking until the answer changes.
Real Mojo Dojo clients, on the record.
Why do AI tools get businesses wrong?
Assistants describe your business from what they have read about it: your site, old pages, directories, reviews, news and forum threads. When those sources disagree or go out of date, the answer does too, and it is repeated to every buyer who asks.
The most common causes we find
Outdated sources. An old directory listing, press article or archived page still says what used to be true.
Mixed-up identities. A business with a similar name, or a previous business at your address, gets blended with yours.
Third-party pages ranking above yours. A review site or forum thread describes you more prominently than your own website does.
Gaps on your own site. Prices, service areas or policies are never stated plainly, so the tool guesses or borrows from elsewhere.
Training data lag. Some answers come from what the model learned months ago, before your changes.
Wrong answers cost more than they look.
A buyer who is told you do not serve their area, or charge twice what you do, rarely checks. They move to the next name on the list, and you never learn the enquiry existed.
Fix the source, not the symptom.
You cannot edit an AI answer directly. You can correct the pages it draws on, make the right facts easier to find than the wrong ones, and use each assistant's feedback channel. Then the answer changes as the tools re-read the web.
Wrong-answer fixes are part of our AI SEO services, and can be run on their own.
What we see in our own data.
First-party numbers from our audit of 719 B2B companies and the logs of our own website.

Each wrong claim traced to the pages the assistant cited or most likely learned it from.

Prices, services, areas, hours and history stated plainly, consistently and with schema, so the right facts are easy to find.

How long until the answer changes?
It depends on where the answer comes from.
Answers that use live search
Assistants that search the web as they answer, such as Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT with search, can change within weeks once corrected pages are recrawled.
Answers from training data
Some answers come from what a model learned before its last update. These change when the model is updated, which can take months. Strong, consistent sources make the correction stick when it does.
Third-party pages
Corrections that depend on another site's owner take as long as they take to respond. We keep the list moving and report each one.
The wrong answers we see most often.
Each one is fixable once the source is found.
"Permanently closed"
Usually an old listing or a previous business at the same address.
Old or invented prices
Quoted from an old page, a competitor or a forum comment.
Services you do not offer
Borrowed from a similar business or a general description of your industry.
Wrong areas or addresses
From inconsistent listings across directories and maps.
Old staff or owners
From archived team pages and old press.
One bad story, repeated
A single complaint or article given more weight than your full review history.
Keeping the answers right.
The best protection is a website that states every important fact plainly, the same way everywhere, and listings that match it. When something changes, such as a price, a location or a service, we update the site, schema and listings together and tell the search engines straight away.
This is the same work that gets you recommended in the first place, which is why it sits inside AI SEO and alongside digital PR.
How we fix wrong AI answers.
Six steps, then monthly retesting.
Capture
We ask each assistant the questions your buyers ask and record every factual claim about you.
Diagnose
We trace each wrong claim to its likely source: your pages, listings, reviews, articles or a mix-up with another business.
Fix your pages first
We correct and clarify your own site and schema, because it is the source you control.
Fix third-party sources
We correct listings and profiles, and contact site owners about articles and directories.
Report and recrawl
We use each assistant's feedback channel and ask search engines to recrawl the corrected pages.
Retest monthly
We ask the same questions again and report what changed, until the answers are right.

Being named is only useful if the facts are right.
Our AI SEO services work on getting you named. Wrong-answer fixes make sure what is said is true. Most clients start with an audit that covers both, then work through the fixes in order of how many buyers each one reaches.
“Their team understood our business before we even had to explain it. Enquiries are up 250% and the quality is better than ever.”
How AI engines decide which businesses to name.
A growing share of your buyers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Claude and never see a results page. How those engines decide which businesses to name, how to become one of them, and how to know if it is working.

Why does ChatGPT have wrong information about my business?
It describes you from what it has read: your site, directories, reviews, articles and forums. If those sources are outdated, inconsistent or mix you up with another business, the answer repeats the error. Some answers also come from training data that predates your changes.
Can I ask OpenAI or Google to correct it?
You can report errors through each assistant's feedback tools, and we do. On its own that rarely fixes the problem, because the wrong source is still there. Correcting the source is what makes the fix last.
AI says my business is closed. What do I do?
Find the source first, usually an old listing or a previous business at your address. Correct your listings and website, state that you are open plainly on your site, then report the error and retest. We do all of this as part of the service.
How long does it take for an answer to change?
Answers that use live search can change within weeks once the corrected pages are recrawled. Answers from training data can take months, until the next model update. We retest monthly so you can see each one move.
Does schema markup change what AI says?
It helps machines read your facts consistently, but it does not override a stronger wrong source. Schema works best alongside clear on-page facts and corrected listings.
How do you monitor what AI says at scale?
We keep a fixed set of questions about your business and category, run them in each assistant every month, and record every claim. That turns occasional spot checks into a trend you can act on.
Can you remove a negative review or article from AI answers?
We cannot remove genuine reviews or legitimate articles. We can make sure your full record is visible and consistent, so one item is not treated as the whole story.
Is this the same as online reputation management?
It overlaps. Reputation management focuses on reviews and search results. Wrong-answer fixes focus on what AI assistants say, which draws on those sources and many others.
