When your competitors already do SEO well.
In most cities, a business that publishes good content and fixes its technical SEO pulls ahead of rivals who do neither. Here, that is rarely enough. The region ended 2023 with nearly 203,000 tech workers, about one in six jobs, and many local firms and their marketers already run serious content and paid search programs. When everyone has decent pages, the tiebreaker is which sites other people cite, and that is a link building problem.
The small-business field is crowded too. Travis County alone had 152,472 sole-operator businesses in 2023, more than three times its employer establishments. Most of them compete on the same "near me" and service-plus-city searches, and the handful that earn mentions in local press, trade associations and partner sites tend to hold the top spots for years.
Demand is also moving outward. The metro added 53,796 residents in the year to July 2025, yet the city itself grew only 0.4%, while Hutto, Kyle, Georgetown and Round Rock grew several times faster. A business that serves those suburbs needs links pointing at pages built for them, from community news, school and sports organizations, and suburban chambers.
Link building is one part of our SEO services. We decide which pages should rank, study the backlink profiles beating them, and earn placements from real editors through outreach, digital PR and content worth referencing. We do not sell links by the unit.
Industries we help in Austin.
The sectors that drive search demand across Central Texas, and how earned links support each one.
Software and SaaS
Well-funded rivals already publish plenty of content. We earn links through original data, product benchmarks and founder commentary that tech media and newsletters cite.
Semiconductors and advanced manufacturing
Samsung’s fab investment in Taylor is drawing suppliers and contractors into niche B2B searches. Trade publications, industry associations and supplier directories with editorial review carry weight here.
Government, advocacy and higher education
As the state capital and home to a university with a record 55,000 students, the city is full of institutions that link out. We help contractors and student-facing businesses earn those references.
Health care practices
Clinics, dental and therapy practices compete on trust. We target health associations, community organizations and patient resources, never paid directories that put rankings at risk.
Restaurants, live music and hospitality
Venues and restaurants earn links from food writers, event guides and roundups, pitched ahead of SXSW in March and ACL in October when editors build their lists.
Construction, real estate and home services
Builders, realtors and trades chasing work in Leander, Kyle or Pflugerville need links to suburb pages from community sites, suppliers and local associations.

How we earn links.
Six methods, blended per client. A SaaS company at The Domain and a Round Rock plumber need very different sources.

Data-led stories, expert commentary and campaigns pitched to journalists and editors, earning coverage and links from publications your customers read.
Editorial outreach
Personalized outreach to site owners and editors whose readers would genuinely benefit from your page, with a clear reason to link.
Linkable assets
Research, tools, guides and original data that other sites cite because there is nothing better to point to.
Unlinked mentions and broken links
We find sites that already mention your brand without linking, and dead links that your content can replace, then ask for the link.
Partnerships and industry bodies
Suppliers, associations, sponsors and events that publish member or partner pages, earned through real relationships.
Guest contributions with editorial standards
Expert articles on relevant publications where the link is earned by the quality of the piece, not by a payment.

What link building and content authority delivered for our clients.
Results from three published case studies where earning quality links was part of the strategy.
The test every link has to pass.
Not all links help. We check every prospect against the same standards before we pitch it:
- Relevance. The site and the linking page cover a topic close to yours.
- Real audience. The site has genuine readers and visible organic traffic, not just a metric score.
- Editorial placement. The link sits inside useful content and was placed because an editor chose to.
- Indexed and crawlable. The page is in Google's index and the link is a standard link Google can follow.
- Clean neighborhood. The site does not sell links openly or link out to spam.
- Natural anchor text. Descriptive and varied, never packed with keywords.
Third-party authority scores can help us sort prospects, but we treat them as a filter, not a target. A relevant link on a site your customers read beats a high score on a site nobody visits.
Links we will not build.
Google's spam policies define link spam as creating links to or from a site primarily to manipulate search rankings. Its examples include buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges, links made by automated programs, and large-scale guest posting with optimized anchor text. Those tactics can cost a site its rankings, and the damage is slow and expensive to reverse.
We do not use private blog networks, automated link tools, paid links that pass ranking credit, or link exchange schemes. Where a placement involves payment or sponsorship, it is marked with the appropriate rel attribute. If a site already carries links like these, we will tell you plainly and recommend how to deal with them.
This is the trade we make in your favor: fewer links, each one earned and defensible.
Areas we serve in Austin.
We work with businesses across the metro remotely, using video calls and shared reporting. In the city that includes Downtown, East Austin, South Congress, Zilker, Hyde Park, Mueller and North Austin, plus Westlake to the west.
We also support companies in the fast-growing suburbs: Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Hutto and Manor to the north and east, Lakeway, Bee Cave and Dripping Springs in the Hill Country, and Kyle, Buda, San Marcos and Bastrop to the south and east. Because people search by suburb, we aim links at the pages that serve each area.
Selected results.
Featured campaigns from our portfolio, drawn from other markets. They illustrate our process rather than results for businesses here.
“Their team understood our business before we even had to explain it. Enquiries are up 250% and the quality is better than ever.”

Do you work with Austin businesses?
Yes. We work with Central Texas companies remotely. Kickoff and monthly reviews happen over video calls, and a shared report shows each link we earn, the page it supports and how rankings moved. There is nothing to drive to, and nothing in the work needs it.
What is link building?
Link building is the process of earning links from other websites to your own. Search engines treat relevant links from trusted sites as a signal that a page is worth ranking, so a structured link building program supports rankings for the pages you care about.
Why do backlinks matter for SEO?
Links help search engines find your pages and judge how trusted they are. Content and technical health get a page into contention, and links from relevant, trusted sites often decide who wins a competitive result. Link building works best alongside your SEO services, not instead of it.
How long does link building take to work?
Expect months rather than weeks. Links have to be earned, published, crawled and then weighed by search engines, and the pages they point to have to be strong enough to benefit. We report links earned each month so you can see progress before rankings move.
Is it safe to buy backlinks?
Google's spam policies list buying or selling links for ranking purposes as link spam. Links that involve payment should carry a rel sponsored or nofollow attribute, which means they do not pass ranking credit. We earn links through outreach, digital PR and content, and do not buy links to pass ranking credit.
What is a good backlink?
A good backlink comes from a relevant site with a real audience, is placed inside useful editorial content by a real editor, sits on a page Google has indexed, and uses natural anchor text. One link like that is worth more than dozens from irrelevant directories or networks.
How many backlinks do I need?
There is no fixed number. The right target comes from the sites currently ranking for your keywords: how many relevant sites link to them, and which of those are missing from your profile. We build that comparison in the first phase and set targets from it.
What is the difference between link building and digital PR?
Digital PR is one way of building links. It earns coverage and links from journalists and publications through stories, data and commentary. Link building is the wider discipline and also includes editorial outreach, linkable assets, unlinked mention recovery, partnerships and resource page placements.
Do links still matter for AI search?
Links still shape traditional rankings, and reputable third-party coverage is also the kind of source AI answer engines tend to draw on. We cannot guarantee that any AI tool will cite you. Our AI SEO work looks at how your brand appears in those answers, and link building supports it by strengthening the sites and pages that mention you.
Do you guarantee rankings or a number of links?
No. Nobody controls how search engines rank pages, and a guaranteed number of links usually means links are being bought or manufactured. We commit to the process, the quality standards and the reporting, and we show the effect on rankings, traffic and inquiries.
How do you choose which pages to build links to?
We prioritize the pages closest to revenue or leads, such as service pages, product categories and high-intent content, and we look at where a modest amount of extra authority is enough to move a page onto page one. A few links go to the homepage and to linkable assets to keep the profile natural.
What if my site already has bad or paid links?
We start by auditing your existing profile and check for paid schemes, networks and irrelevant links. Most low-quality links can simply be ignored by Google. If there are signs of a paid link scheme or a penalty risk, we will recommend removal or disavow, and can pair the review with a full SEO audit.
How will I know it is working?
Each month you receive a report showing the links earned, the sites and pages they came from, where they point, and the movement in rankings, organic traffic and inquiries for the target pages. We tie the results to business outcomes rather than to a count of links.
Our competitors already invest heavily in SEO. Can links still make a difference?
Usually more than anything else. When content and technical work are equally good across the top results, the pages with stronger, more relevant backlink profiles tend to win. We find the referring domains your competitors share and you lack, and go after those first.
Is SXSW or ACL a good time for digital PR?
For hospitality, events and consumer brands, yes, but pitches need to go out weeks ahead. Editors plan guides and roundups early, and ACL 2025 contributed $557.8 million to the local economy, so competition for coverage is intense. B2B stories often land better outside festival season.
