London's Link Building Partner
London link building from a team that has earned placements in the UK's most competitive digital market for 16 years. Finance, professional services and a hugely diverse economy mean your competitors are already investing in authority, and the right links are how you overtake them.
Real Mojo Dojo clients, on the record.
Why authority decides rankings in the capital.
About 531,000 VAT or PAYE registered businesses were operating in London in March 2024, 19.5% of the UK total and more than any other region. Many national brands, marketplaces and agencies have their headquarters here as well. Put a commercial keyword next to the city name and the pages already ranking tend to be backed by long histories of press coverage, sponsorships and partner links, which is exactly what search engines read as authority.
The shape of the economy tells you which links count. GDP reached £617.9 billion in 2023, around 22.7% of the UK figure, and the Square Mile alone accounts for one in five financial services jobs in Great Britain. Banks, insurers, law firms and accountancies compete on credibility, so a mention in a respected trade title or on a professional body’s site does more than dozens of generic placements. Meanwhile, startups raised $10.8 billion in venture capital in 2024, and funded SaaS and fintech companies run their own content and PR teams, which lifts the bar in every B2B category.
Smaller firms seldom win by taking on the whole capital. They win by narrowing the field to a borough, a niche or a specific buyer, and by earning links that prove relevance there: east London culture and listings sites for a Hackney venue, trade press and business networks for a Croydon accountancy, tech newsletters and investor blogs for a Shoreditch start-up.
This work runs alongside our SEO services, because links only pay off when the pages they point to are worth ranking. We don’t trade in link packages. Each placement is pitched to a real editor, on a site your buyers read, for a page that carries revenue.
Our nationwide offer is described on the Link Building UK page. The same service is available in Manchester. You may also be interested in SEO, AI SEO and Enterprise SEO in London. Everything else we do here is listed under London services.

Industries we help in London.
Each sector earns links from a different set of publishers. This is where we focus for each.
Financial and professional services
For firms around the Square Mile and Canary Wharf we place expert commentary and research in trade titles and professional bodies, keeping every claim within the marketing rules your sector follows.
Technology, fintech and AI
Product data, founder commentary and original research pitched to tech and startup media, with campaigns timed around the June tech week calendar when journalists are hungry for stories.
Tourism, hospitality and leisure
Visitors spent a record £17.3 billion in 2024. We earn links from travel guides, what’s-on listings and food writers read by people planning a trip before they arrive.
Retail and ecommerce
Gift guides, product roundups and brand collaborations that help West End and online retailers compete with marketplaces for the same product searches.
Creative industries and media
Design, fashion and architecture studios earn coverage around Fashion Week and the September design festival, from publications that set the standard for the whole industry.
Business services and SMEs
Trades, clinics and consultancies gain links from borough business networks, local news and supplier pages, which is how they rank for their patch rather than the entire city.

What makes a link worth building.
Not all links help. We check every prospect against the same standards before we pitch it:
- Relevance. The site and the linking page cover a topic close to yours.
- Real audience. The site has genuine readers and visible organic traffic, not just a metric score.
- Editorial placement. The link sits inside useful content and was placed because an editor chose to.
- Indexed and crawlable. The page is in Google's index and the link is a standard link Google can follow.
- Clean neighbourhood. The site does not sell links openly or link out to spam.
- Natural anchor text. Descriptive and varied, never packed with keywords.
Third-party authority scores can help us sort prospects, but we treat them as a filter, not a target. A relevant link on a site your customers read beats a high score on a site nobody visits.
How we earn links.
Six methods. A fintech launch leans on digital PR, a Camden clinic on partnerships and local editorial.
Digital PR
Data-led stories, expert commentary and campaigns pitched to journalists and editors, earning coverage and links from publications your customers read.
Editorial outreach
Personalised outreach to site owners and editors whose readers would genuinely benefit from your page, with a clear reason to link.
Linkable assets
Research, tools, guides and original data that other sites cite because there is nothing better to point to.
Unlinked mentions and broken links
We find sites that already mention your brand without linking, and dead links that your content can replace, then ask for the link.
Partnerships and industry bodies
Suppliers, associations, sponsors and events that publish member or partner pages, earned through real relationships.
Guest contributions with editorial standards
Expert articles on relevant publications where the link is earned by the quality of the piece, not by a payment.

We build a vetted list of relevant sites and editors, checked against our quality standards.
Outreach and placement

Reporting and refinement
Monthly reporting on links earned, rankings and organic traffic. We double down on the tactics that move the pages that matter.
Links we will not build.
Google's spam policies define link spam as creating links to or from a site primarily to manipulate search rankings. Its examples include buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges, links made by automated programs, and large-scale guest posting with optimised anchor text. Those tactics can cost a site its rankings, and the damage is slow and expensive to reverse.
We do not use private blog networks, automated link tools, paid links that pass ranking credit, or link exchange schemes. Where a placement involves payment or sponsorship, it is marked with the appropriate rel attribute. If a site already carries links like these, we will tell you plainly and recommend how to deal with them.
This is the trade we make in your favour: fewer links, each one earned and defensible.
Areas we serve in London.
We support businesses in every part of the capital, working remotely through video calls and shared reports. Central clients range from Westminster, Camden and Islington to Kensington and Chelsea, and the business districts of the City, King’s Cross, Paddington and the South Bank.
In the east we work with firms in Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham, from Shoreditch start-ups to Canary Wharf suppliers and businesses around Stratford. South of the river that means Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Greenwich and Croydon, and in the west and north Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing, Brent, Barnet, Harrow and Hounslow, out to Richmond upon Thames and Kingston upon Thames. Because searchers here name a borough, a postcode or a tube stop, we build links that support those places specifically.
Selected results.
Featured campaigns from our wider client portfolio. They illustrate the approach rather than results for businesses in this city.
“Their team understood our business before we even had to explain it. Enquiries are up 250% and the quality is better than ever.”

Do you work with London businesses?
We do, and all of it is done remotely. Mojo Dojo has no London premises, so strategy sessions and check-ins happen over video calls, and you can see every link, target page and ranking movement in shared reporting at any time.
What is link building?
Link building is the process of earning links from other websites to your own. Search engines treat relevant links from trusted sites as a signal that a page is worth ranking, so a structured link building programme supports rankings for the pages you care about.
Why do backlinks matter for SEO?
Links help search engines find your pages and judge how trusted they are. Content and technical health get a page into contention, and links from relevant, trusted sites often decide who wins a competitive result. Link building works best alongside your SEO services, not instead of it.
How long does link building take to work?
Expect months rather than weeks. Links have to be earned, published, crawled and then weighed by search engines, and the pages they point to have to be strong enough to benefit. We report links earned each month so you can see progress before rankings move.
Is it safe to buy backlinks?
Google's spam policies list buying or selling links for ranking purposes as link spam. Links that involve payment should carry a rel sponsored or nofollow attribute, which means they do not pass ranking credit. We earn links through outreach, digital PR and content, and do not buy links to pass ranking credit.
What is a good backlink?
A good backlink comes from a relevant site with a real audience, is placed inside useful editorial content by a real editor, sits on a page Google has indexed, and uses natural anchor text. One link like that is worth more than dozens from irrelevant directories or networks.
How many backlinks do I need?
There is no fixed number. The right target comes from the sites currently ranking for your keywords: how many relevant sites link to them, and which of those are missing from your profile. We build that comparison in the first phase and set targets from it.
What is the difference between link building and digital PR?
Digital PR is one way of building links. It earns coverage and links from journalists and publications through stories, data and commentary. Link building is the wider discipline and also includes editorial outreach, linkable assets, unlinked mention recovery, partnerships and resource page placements.
Do links still matter for AI search?
Links still shape traditional rankings, and reputable third-party coverage is also the kind of source AI answer engines tend to draw on. We cannot guarantee that any AI tool will cite you. Our AI SEO work looks at how your brand appears in those answers, and link building supports it by strengthening the sites and pages that mention you.
Do you guarantee rankings or a number of links?
No. Nobody controls how search engines rank pages, and a guaranteed number of links usually means links are being bought or manufactured. We commit to the process, the quality standards and the reporting, and we show the effect on rankings, traffic and enquiries.
How do you choose which pages to build links to?
We prioritise the pages closest to revenue or leads, such as service pages, product categories and high-intent content, and we look at where a modest amount of extra authority is enough to move a page onto page one. A few links go to the homepage and to linkable assets to keep the profile natural.
What if my site already has bad or paid links?
We start by auditing your existing profile and check for paid schemes, networks and irrelevant links. Most low-quality links can simply be ignored by Google. If there are signs of a paid link scheme or a penalty risk, we will recommend removal or disavow, and can pair the review with a full SEO audit.
How will I know it is working?
Each month you receive a report showing the links earned, the sites and pages they came from, where they point, and the movement in rankings, organic traffic and enquiries for the target pages. We tie the results to business outcomes rather than to a count of links.
How can a smaller firm compete for links against big London brands?
By not fighting on their terms. Big brands collect links for city-wide keywords. A smaller firm usually gets further by picking a borough, a niche or a type of buyer, then earning links from the trade press, local titles and associations that serve that audience. Fewer links, much tighter relevance.
Do links from UK websites matter more than international ones?
Relevance matters most, but for a business selling in the UK, links from UK publications, associations and borough sites tend to be closer to your real audience and send referral traffic from the people you want. International links still help when the site is genuinely relevant to your topic.
