Chicago PPC Management Agency
Chicago PPC management for the Midwest's financial hub and one of the most diverse economies in the US. We manage Google Ads for B2B and B2C companies across finance, manufacturing, logistics and professional services, with bidding built around Chicago demand rather than national averages.
Real Mojo Dojo clients, on the record.
A diversified economy means diversified auctions.
No single sector makes up more than 13% of the regional economy, according to World Business Chicago. That is good for stability and complicated for paid search. The largest employment sector is trade, transportation and utilities, with about 933,400 jobs, followed closely by professional and business services and by education and health. Each one has its own buyers, its own search behavior and its own idea of what a lead is worth, so a PPC plan copied from another industry rarely fits.
Scale brings competition. Thirty Fortune 500 companies had their headquarters here in 2025, and Cook County alone counted 553,291 self-employed businesses in 2023, about four for every employer establishment. National brands and franchises crowd city-wide terms in legal, finance and health care. The metro area also spans Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, and people search by neighborhood or suburb, from Logan Square to Naperville, far more than by the city name.
PPC management turns that complexity into a plan. It covers researching, building, running and improving campaigns on Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn, and judging them on leads, sales and revenue rather than clicks. Our guide to SEO, PPC and SEM explains how paid and organic trade off, and our SEO service covers the organic side.
For the wider picture across the country, see PPC Management USA. We also provide PPC management in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Austin and Miami.

Kartik, on our Google Ads work
PPC management in Chicago by the numbers.
Federal and regional data on scale, headquarters and wages, all of which push click prices up.
Where PPC budgets leak, and what we do about it.
Six common ways PPC budgets leak, including two we often see in Midwest accounts.
Conversions are counted wrongly
Double-counted form fills, reloaded thank-you pages and missing call tracking make an account look better or worse than it is, and automated bidding then learns from bad data.
Measurement is fixed first
We audit every conversion action, remove duplicates, add call and form tracking, and feed real lead or revenue value back to the platform where we can.
Industry keywords that attract job seekers
In logistics, manufacturing and health care, many searches for industry terms come from people looking for jobs or training, not buyers. Broad keywords spend heavily on those clicks.
Buyer-only search terms
We review search terms weekly, add negatives for jobs, salaries and courses, and focus bids on the service and supplier searches that bring business enquiries.
One campaign for a three-state metro
The metro spreads into Indiana and Wisconsin, and licensing, pricing and service areas often change at the state line. A single campaign mixes those markets and pays for clicks you cannot serve.
Campaigns built around real service areas
We split campaigns by state and by the neighborhoods and suburbs you serve, with their own budgets and ads, and exclude areas outside your reach.
Good clicks, poor landing page
Paid traffic sent to a generic or slow page converts badly, and platforms can charge more for a weak landing page experience.
Pages built for the ad
We match page to message, cut form friction and test variants. See our conversion rate optimization service.
Stale ads and creative fatigue
Ads that never change lose click-through rate, and on social platforms audiences tire of seeing the same creative.
Structured testing
We run controlled ad and creative tests, keep winners and retire losers, so learning compounds instead of resetting.
Reports full of clicks
Dashboards that lead with impressions and clicks hide whether the account is making money.
Reporting on business outcomes
Reports lead with leads, sales, revenue, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend, with plain commentary on what changed and why.
Industries we help in Chicago.
The big employment sectors of the region, and what paid media does for each.
Logistics, freight and distribution
The largest employment sector in the metro. We bid on specific service and lane terms, filter out job-seeker searches, and use LinkedIn to reach shippers and procurement managers.
Professional and business services
About 817,900 local jobs and a dense cluster of corporate headquarters. Law, accounting and consulting firms get compliant search on specific services and LinkedIn by seniority, measured on qualified consultations.
Health care and education
The fastest-growing major sector in the year to July 2026, adding 14,300 jobs. Clinics and training providers get neighborhood and suburb targeting, call tracking and enrollment-season campaigns.
Manufacturing and food innovation
About 410,000 people work in local manufacturing. We run narrow B2B campaigns for low-volume, high-value searches, and time trade-audience campaigns to shows at McCormick Place.
Hotels, restaurants and attractions
Visitors spent a record $21.5 billion in 2025. We weight budgets toward summer and fall, plan around Lollapalooza and the marathon, and target visitors before they arrive.
Financial services and insurance
A regulated, high-value category with some of the most contested clicks in the region. We use exact match, strict negatives, compliant copy and tracking that follows applications, not just clicks.

How PPC advertising works.
Most PPC platforms sell ad space through an auction that runs each time someone searches or scrolls. You choose who you want to reach and what you are willing to pay for a result. The platform then decides whether your ad enters the auction and where it appears.
On Google Ads, position depends on Ad Rank, which combines your bid with the quality of your ad and landing page and the context of the search. That is why the highest bidder does not always win, and why a relevant ad on a fast page can cost less per click than a poor one. Quality Score, a 1 to 10 diagnostic shown in the account, is a useful signal of how well keyword, ad and landing page fit together.
Other platforms work on similar principles with different inputs. Meta and LinkedIn weigh your bid against how likely the audience is to engage. Managing PPC well means knowing what each auction rewards and shaping the account to match. For the biggest platform, see our Google Ads management service.

PPC and SEO work best together.
Paid search buys speed and control. You can be on page one tomorrow, target exact audiences and switch budgets on and off. Organic search builds an asset that keeps bringing traffic without a cost per click. Each channel makes the other cheaper to run.
Search term data from paid campaigns shows which keywords convert, so we know which pages are worth ranking for. Organic data shows which pages already convert, so we know where paid clicks will land well. Bfree is a good example: running Google Ads management alongside SEO, sales rose 1000% and organic traffic 192%.
If you are deciding where to start, our guide to SEO vs PPC vs SEM sets out the trade-offs, and our SEO service covers the organic side.
How we run PPC management.
Six stages, from economics to reporting, managed remotely with regular video reviews.

Strategy and budget plan
Channel mix, budget split and targets are agreed with you before anything launches.
Build and launch
Campaigns, ads, audiences and landing pages go live with tracking already in place.
Ongoing optimization
We review search terms, bids, budgets and creative tests, and move spend toward what returns most.
Reporting and review
Monthly reporting on leads, revenue and return on ad spend, then a plan for the next month.
Areas we serve in Chicago.
We manage paid campaigns remotely for businesses across the city and suburbs. In the city that covers the Loop, River North, the West Loop, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wicker Park, Logan Square, Pilsen and Hyde Park.
Beyond the city limits we target Evanston, Oak Park and Skokie, the northwest suburbs of Arlington Heights, Schaumburg and Rosemont, and west and south to Oak Brook, Naperville, Aurora, Elgin and Joliet. We also cover Waukegan and, across the state line, Hammond, Indiana. Targeting is set neighborhood by neighborhood where it matters, because that is how people here search.
Selected results.
Featured results from our wider client portfolio. They illustrate the approach, not results for businesses in this city.
“Their team understood our business before we even had to explain it. Enquiries are up 250% and the quality is better than ever.”
Outsmart competitors instead of outspending them.
What nine years and $32 million of Google Ads taught us about outsmarting competitors instead of outspending them. One client, five ideas that transfer to any account.

What are PPC management services?
PPC management services cover the planning, setup, daily running and reporting of pay per click advertising. That includes keyword and audience research, ad copy and creative, bidding and budgets, tracking, landing page advice and regular reporting, across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta and LinkedIn.
Do you work with Chicago businesses?
Yes, entirely remotely. We run kick-offs and monthly reviews on video calls, and every client gets shared reporting that shows spend, leads and revenue, so you can check performance any day without waiting for a meeting.
How is PPC different from SEO?
PPC buys visibility. You pay per click or action, results start quickly and you control who sees the ad. SEO earns visibility over months and has no cost per click, but takes longer to build. Most businesses do best running both, each informing the other. Our guide to SEO vs PPC vs SEM goes through the trade-offs.
Which PPC platforms should I advertise on?
It depends on where your buyers are and what a customer is worth. Search ads suit people who already know what they want. Shopping suits online stores. LinkedIn suits B2B lead generation. Meta and TikTok suit demand creation and visual products. We recommend a mix after understanding your margins, not a fixed package.
How long does it take to see results from PPC?
Traffic starts as soon as campaigns are approved, but useful conclusions take longer. Platforms need data to learn, so expect the first weeks to be about collecting it and removing waste, with efficiency improving as tests conclude. Linen House cut marketing cost by 40% while paid revenue grew 109%, which is the pattern good management aims for.
How do I know if my PPC campaigns are working?
Judge them on business results: leads, sales, revenue, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend, not clicks or impressions. That only works if conversion tracking is accurate, so we check tracking first. Where possible we tie ad data to real sales or lead quality, not just form fills.
Can you target trade show audiences at McCormick Place?
We can plan campaigns around major shows, such as the National Restaurant Association Show in May, using search, LinkedIn and remarketing aimed at the industries attending. We set these up as separate campaigns so you can see what the show period returns.
Should I manage PPC in-house or hire an agency?
In-house works when you have someone with the time and platform experience to keep accounts current. An agency suits teams that need experts across several platforms, fresh testing ideas and reporting that ties spend to revenue. Many businesses start with an agency and bring parts of the work in-house later.
Do you provide PPC audits?
Yes. An audit reviews your account structure, tracking, keywords and search terms, ads, budgets and landing pages, then ranks the fixes by likely impact. See our Google Ads audit, or use the form below to ask for a review.
Should our campaigns cover Indiana and Wisconsin?
Only if you can serve customers there. If you can, we build separate campaigns for each state so budgets, ads and results stay clear. If you cannot, we exclude them so none of your budget is spent across the line.
What is remarketing and why does it matter?
Remarketing shows ads to people who have already visited your site or engaged with your brand. Most visitors do not convert on the first visit, so remarketing keeps you in front of warmer audiences, usually at a lower cost per conversion than cold traffic. Linen House used remarketing as part of the campaign that grew paid revenue 109%. See our remarketing service.
What should I look for in a PPC agency?
Ask who owns the ad accounts, how conversions are measured, what the reports lead with, and how spend is split by margin. Look for published results in your kind of business, not just headline figures. Be wary of agencies that report clicks and impressions but cannot show revenue or cost per lead.
