Expert Link Building for Brisbane
Link building Brisbane businesses can measure, with every placement chosen for relevance and referring traffic rather than volume. With the 2032 Olympics driving growth in tourism, construction and tech, the brands earning authority now will own the Brisbane search results for a decade.
Real Mojo Dojo clients, on the record.
One metro, five councils, a lot of new competitors.
Few Australian cities are adding people as quickly. The greater area grew by about 58,200 residents in 2024-25, and the fastest growth sat on the edges: Ripley in Ipswich, Morayfield in Moreton Bay and Greenbank in Logan. For link building that matters, because a site that ranks well for inner-city searches is often invisible to the households now forming in those corridors. People there search by council or suburb name, so the links that help are the ones from regional news, community groups and council-area directories with real editors.
The competition is broad rather than deep. There were 221,618 small businesses across the metro in 2023, and 136,806 of them had no employees. Plenty of categories are crowded with small operators who have never run an outreach campaign, which gives a business with a deliberate link plan room to pull ahead. The exceptions are finance, legal, health and property, where national brands buy their way onto city-wide terms.
Then there is the build-up to 2032. BEDA reports a major project pipeline of more than $100 billion, and construction, tourism and event suppliers are already publishing content to catch Games-related demand. Firms that earn authority early will be the ones trade media and tender lists cite later.
We treat link building as one part of our SEO services. We pick the pages worth ranking, find out why rivals beat them, then earn editorial links through outreach, digital PR and assets that editors want to reference. Links are never sold off a menu.
Industries we help in Brisbane.
The growth sectors in South East Queensland, and the kind of links that move each one.
Health and medical
The health industry contributed $22 billion in 2024 and grew faster than in any other capital. Practices and allied health providers earn trust through health associations, research partners and patient guides.
Tourism, hospitality and events
Visitor spending hit a record $13.7 billion in 2024. We pitch venues, tours and stays to what’s-on guides and travel writers well before Ekka in August and the festival in September.
Transport, logistics and trade
Freight and warehousing firms near the port and the TradeCoast sell to a handful of buyers. Trade press features, association listings and supplier pages build authority for specialist B2B queries.
Property, construction and trades
Builders and developers chasing Ripley, Springfield or North Lakes work need links that point at suburb pages. Industry awards, supplier case features and community sites do that job.
Knowledge economy and professional services
Consultancies, engineers and law firms compete on expertise. Commentary, survey data and speaking slots turn that expertise into coverage from business titles and professional bodies.
Advanced manufacturing
Medical and pharmaceutical exports are up 114% since 2013. Manufacturers earn links from technical publications, export networks and research collaborators that buyers already trust.

What makes a link worth building.
Not all links help. We check every prospect against the same standards before we pitch it:
- Relevance. The site and the linking page cover a topic close to yours.
- Real audience. The site has genuine readers and visible organic traffic, not just a metric score.
- Editorial placement. The link sits inside useful content and was placed because an editor chose to.
- Indexed and crawlable. The page is in Google's index and the link is a standard link Google can follow.
- Clean neighbourhood. The site does not sell links openly or link out to spam.
- Natural anchor text. Descriptive and varied, never packed with keywords.
Third-party authority scores can help us sort prospects, but we treat them as a filter, not a target. A relevant link on a site your customers read beats a high score on a site nobody visits.
How we earn links.
Six methods, blended per client. A Newstead software firm and a Logan trades business rarely need the same mix.
Digital PR
Data-led stories, expert commentary and campaigns pitched to journalists and editors, earning coverage and links from publications your customers read.
Editorial outreach
Personalised outreach to site owners and editors whose readers would genuinely benefit from your page, with a clear reason to link.
Linkable assets
Research, tools, guides and original data that other sites cite because there is nothing better to point to.
Unlinked mentions and broken links
We find sites that already mention your brand without linking, and dead links that your content can replace, then ask for the link.
Partnerships and industry bodies
Suppliers, associations, sponsors and events that publish member or partner pages, earned through real relationships.
Guest contributions with editorial standards
Expert articles on relevant publications where the link is earned by the quality of the piece, not by a payment.

Links we will not build.
Google's spam policies define link spam as creating links to or from a site primarily to manipulate search rankings. Its examples include buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges, links made by automated programs, and large-scale guest posting with optimised anchor text. Those tactics can cost a site its rankings, and the damage is slow and expensive to reverse.
We do not use private blog networks, automated link tools, paid links that pass ranking credit, or link exchange schemes. Where a placement involves payment or sponsorship, it is marked with the appropriate rel attribute. If a site already carries links like these, we will tell you plainly and recommend how to deal with them.
This is the trade we make in your favour: fewer links, each one earned and defensible.
Areas we serve in Brisbane.
Our work with South East Queensland businesses is remote, run over video calls and shared reporting, and it covers the whole metro. Inner-city clients sit in the CBD, Fortitude Valley, South Brisbane, West End, Newstead, Milton, Toowong, Paddington and Woolloongabba.
We also support businesses in Indooroopilly, Chermside, Carindale and Sunnybank, and in the growth councils beyond: Springfield, Ipswich and Ripley to the west, Logan Central to the south, North Lakes, Morayfield and Redcliffe to the north, and Cleveland on the bay. Because searches in those areas often skip the city name, we aim links at the suburb and service-area pages that match how people actually look.
What our link building has delivered.
A few published campaigns where earning links was part of the brief. They come from different industries and markets, and show the approach rather than a guaranteed outcome.
“Their team understood our business before we even had to explain it. Enquiries are up 250% and the quality is better than ever.”

What is link building?
Link building is the process of earning links from other websites to your own. Search engines treat relevant links from trusted sites as a signal that a page is worth ranking, so a structured link building programme supports rankings for the pages you care about.
Why do backlinks matter for SEO?
Links help search engines find your pages and judge how trusted they are. Content and technical health get a page into contention, and links from relevant, trusted sites often decide who wins a competitive result. Link building works best alongside your SEO services, not instead of it.
How long does link building take to work?
Expect months rather than weeks. Links have to be earned, published, crawled and then weighed by search engines, and the pages they point to have to be strong enough to benefit. We report links earned each month so you can see progress before rankings move.
Do you work with Brisbane businesses?
Yes, remotely. Kick-off and monthly reviews happen on video calls, and a shared report shows each earned link, the page it points to and how rankings moved. Everything runs online, so it works the same whether you are in the Valley or out in Springfield.
Is it safe to buy backlinks?
Google's spam policies list buying or selling links for ranking purposes as link spam. Links that involve payment should carry a rel sponsored or nofollow attribute, which means they do not pass ranking credit. We earn links through outreach, digital PR and content, and do not buy links to pass ranking credit.
What is a good backlink?
A good backlink comes from a relevant site with a real audience, is placed inside useful editorial content by a real editor, sits on a page Google has indexed, and uses natural anchor text. One link like that is worth more than dozens from irrelevant directories or networks.
How many backlinks do I need?
There is no fixed number. The right target comes from the sites currently ranking for your keywords: how many relevant sites link to them, and which of those are missing from your profile. We build that comparison in the first phase and set targets from it.
What is the difference between link building and digital PR?
Digital PR is one way of building links. It earns coverage and links from journalists and publications through stories, data and commentary. Link building is the wider discipline and also includes editorial outreach, linkable assets, unlinked mention recovery, partnerships and resource page placements.
Do links still matter for AI search?
Links still shape traditional rankings, and reputable third-party coverage is also the kind of source AI answer engines tend to draw on. We cannot guarantee that any AI tool will cite you. Our AI SEO work looks at how your brand appears in those answers, and link building supports it by strengthening the sites and pages that mention you.
Do you guarantee rankings or a number of links?
No. Nobody controls how search engines rank pages, and a guaranteed number of links usually means links are being bought or manufactured. We commit to the process, the quality standards and the reporting, and we show the effect on rankings, traffic and enquiries.
How do you choose which pages to build links to?
We prioritise the pages closest to revenue or leads, such as service pages, product categories and high-intent content, and we look at where a modest amount of extra authority is enough to move a page onto page one. A few links go to the homepage and to linkable assets to keep the profile natural.
What if my site already has bad or paid links?
We start by auditing your existing profile and check for paid schemes, networks and irrelevant links. Most low-quality links can simply be ignored by Google. If there are signs of a paid link scheme or a penalty risk, we will recommend removal or disavow, and can pair the review with a full SEO audit.
How will I know it is working?
Each month you receive a report showing the links earned, the sites and pages they came from, where they point, and the movement in rankings, organic traffic and enquiries for the target pages. We tie the results to business outcomes rather than to a count of links.
Should my campaign cover the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast too?
If you sell there, yes. Many businesses serve the whole of South East Queensland, and the publications, councils and community sites differ between regions. We plan links for each service area you want to win rather than assuming one city page will rank everywhere.
Is it too early to build links for the 2032 Games?
No. Authority takes time to compound, and construction, tourism and event suppliers are already competing for Games-related searches. Earning coverage in trade and business media now means your pages are established by the time demand peaks.
