Brisbane

A fast-growing market that keeps moving its buyers.

Greater Brisbane added about 58,200 people in 2024-25, a 2.1% rise and the second-fastest growth rate of any Australian capital. The newcomers are not settling evenly. Ripley in Ipswich grew 15%, with Morayfield in Moreton Bay and Greenbank in Logan close behind, so the customers a business needs next year may live in a council area its ads do not reach today.

For paid search that is both the opportunity and the trap. PPC management is the ongoing work of planning, running and refining the ads you pay for per click, across Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn, and judging them on leads and revenue rather than clicks. Here it also means redrawing targeting as the map changes. A campaign built three years ago around inner suburbs such as Milton and Toowong will miss the new estates on the fringes, while a campaign set to the whole region spends money in places you cannot service.

There is plenty of competition to plan for as well. The area had 221,618 small businesses in 2023, and BEDA puts the economy at $201 billion in 2024. City-wide terms in finance, legal, health and property draw national brands with deep budgets. We win for smaller advertisers by narrowing the auction: council areas, suburbs, exact intent, and landing pages that match. See how paid and organic compare in our guide to SEO, PPC and SEM, and how SEO supports the same pages.

Looking beyond Brisbane? Our PPC Management Australia page covers the whole country. The same service is available in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

Why accounts underperform

Where PPC budgets leak, and what we do about it.

Six common ways paid budget is wasted. Two of them are especially common across South East Queensland.

Tracking
Problem

Conversions are counted wrongly

Double-counted form fills, reloaded thank-you pages and missing call tracking make an account look better or worse than it is, and automated bidding then learns from bad data.

Solution

Measurement is fixed first

We audit every conversion action, remove duplicates, add call and form tracking, and feed real lead or revenue value back to the platform where we can.

Service area
Problem

Ads bid on the city name only

Many searchers type Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay or Redlands, or their suburb, rather than the city name. Keyword lists built on the capital alone miss them, while broad match wanders to places you do not serve.

Solution

Keywords and locations by council area

We build keyword and location groups for each council area and suburb you cover, add negatives for areas you do not, and report cost per lead by region.

Structure
Problem

One campaign, one budget, no control

When everything is lumped together, the products or services that earn the most are starved while weak ones absorb spend.

Solution

Budget follows margin and return

Campaigns are split by intent and value, and budget moves toward what returns most, judged against your margins rather than platform averages.

Landing pages
Problem

One landing page for the whole region

A single generic page cannot speak to someone in Redcliffe and someone in Springfield at once. Visitors bounce, and the platform reads that as a weaker page experience.

Solution

Pages that name the area and the service

We recommend area-specific landing pages with local proof points, clear pricing where you can share it and short forms, and test them with our conversion rate optimisation service.

Creative
Problem

Stale ads and creative fatigue

Ads that never change lose click-through rate, and on social platforms audiences tire of seeing the same creative.

Solution

Structured testing

We run controlled ad and creative tests, keep winners and retire losers, so learning compounds instead of resetting.

Reporting
Problem

Reports full of clicks

Dashboards that lead with impressions and clicks hide whether the account is making money.

Solution

Reporting on business outcomes

Reports lead with leads, sales, revenue, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend, with plain commentary on what changed and why.

Industries

Industries we help in Brisbane.

What paid media does for the sectors growing fastest across South East Queensland.

01

Health and allied health

BEDA reports the health industry contributed $22 billion in 2024 and grew 6% a year. We run appointment-focused search campaigns with call tracking and ad copy that stays within health advertising rules.

02

Hospitality, tourism and venues

Visitor spending hit a record $13.7 billion in 2024. We plan paid budgets around Ekka in August and the September festival, with Meta and search ads that sell bookings rather than awareness.

03

Professional and knowledge services

BEDA and Deloitte forecast 50% growth in the knowledge economy over ten years. For consultancies, law and engineering firms we use LinkedIn by role and exact-match search on the services that bring in high-value work.

04

Freight, logistics and trade

The port handled a record 1.62 million TEU in 2024-25. Freight and warehousing buyers search in small numbers, so we bid on specific service terms and cut the broad queries that bring job seekers instead of customers.

05

Builders, trades and developers

With a project pipeline of more than $100 billion, construction search is busy. We split campaigns by service area so a builder can target Ripley or North Lakes at one bid and the inner suburbs at another.

How we work

Paid channels we manage.

We pick channels by buyer and margin. A Newstead software firm may lean on LinkedIn, while a North Lakes trades business gets most from search and remarketing.

01

Search ads

Capture people already searching for what you sell, with full control of keywords, match types and ad copy across Google Ads management and Microsoft Advertising.

02

Shopping and Performance Max

Product feeds and automated campaigns for online stores, with feed clean-up and asset control. See Google Shopping Ads and Performance Max.

03

Reach and retarget audiences with visuals and video through Google Display and YouTube Ads.

04

Remarketing

Bring back visitors who did not convert, with audiences built from real behaviour. See our remarketing service.

05

Meta ads

Demand generation and direct response on Facebook and Instagram, from creative testing to audience strategy. See Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads.

06

LinkedIn ads

Reach buyers by job title, company and industry for B2B lead generation. See LinkedIn Ads.

07

TikTok ads

Short-form video campaigns for brands whose buyers spend time on the platform. See TikTok Ads.

08

The right mix, not every channel

We will tell you when a channel is not worth your budget yet. A smaller, well-run mix beats a wide one spread too thin.

In depth

How PPC advertising works.

Most PPC platforms sell ad space through an auction that runs each time someone searches or scrolls. You choose who you want to reach and what you are willing to pay for a result. The platform then decides whether your ad enters the auction and where it appears.

On Google Ads, position depends on Ad Rank, which combines your bid with the quality of your ad and landing page and the context of the search. That is why the highest bidder does not always win, and why a relevant ad on a fast page can cost less per click than a poor one. Quality Score, a 1 to 10 diagnostic shown in the account, is a useful signal of how well keyword, ad and landing page fit together.

Other platforms work on similar principles with different inputs. Meta and LinkedIn weigh your bid against how likely the audience is to engage. Managing PPC well means knowing what each auction rewards and shaping the account to match. For the biggest platform, see our Google Ads management service.

In depth

PPC and SEO work best together.

Paid search buys speed and control. You can be on page one tomorrow, target exact audiences and switch budgets on and off. Organic search builds an asset that keeps bringing traffic without a cost per click. Each channel makes the other cheaper to run.

Search term data from paid campaigns shows which keywords convert, so we know which pages are worth ranking for. Organic data shows which pages already convert, so we know where paid clicks will land well. Bfree is a good example: running Google Ads management alongside SEO, sales rose 1000% and organic traffic 192%.

If you are deciding where to start, our guide to SEO vs PPC vs SEM sets out the trade-offs, and our SEO service covers the organic side.

Areas

Areas we serve in Brisbane.

Our PPC work covers the whole metro area, handled remotely. Inner-city clients sit in the CBD, Fortitude Valley, West End, Newstead, Milton, Paddington, Toowong and Woolloongabba, with the Herston and Kelvin Grove health precinct close by.

Further out, we target Indooroopilly, Chermside, Carindale and Sunnybank, and the growth corridors of Springfield, Ipswich and Ripley in the west, Logan Central to the south, North Lakes, Morayfield and Redcliffe to the north and Cleveland on the bay. Many accounts extend across South East Queensland, and we set bids and budgets separately for each area so spend follows real demand.

What are PPC management services?

PPC management services cover the planning, setup, daily running and reporting of pay per click advertising. That includes keyword and audience research, ad copy and creative, bidding and budgets, tracking, landing page advice and regular reporting, across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta and LinkedIn.

How is PPC different from SEO?

PPC buys visibility. You pay per click or action, results start quickly and you control who sees the ad. SEO earns visibility over months and has no cost per click, but takes longer to build. Most businesses do best running both, each informing the other. Our guide to SEO vs PPC vs SEM goes through the trade-offs.

Which PPC platforms should I advertise on?

It depends on where your buyers are and what a customer is worth. Search ads suit people who already know what they want. Shopping suits online stores. LinkedIn suits B2B lead generation. Meta and TikTok suit demand creation and visual products. We recommend a mix after understanding your margins, not a fixed package.

Can you run campaigns across South East Queensland, not just the city?

Yes, and most accounts need it. We set up location targeting for each council area and region you serve, from Moreton Bay to Logan and Ipswich, with separate budgets and reporting so you can see which areas return the most.

How long does it take to see results from PPC?

Traffic starts as soon as campaigns are approved, but useful conclusions take longer. Platforms need data to learn, so expect the first weeks to be about collecting it and removing waste, with efficiency improving as tests conclude. Linen House cut marketing cost by 40% while paid revenue grew 109%, which is the pattern good management aims for.

Do you work with Brisbane businesses?

We do, fully remotely. We work with clients through video calls and shared reporting dashboards, so you can see spend, leads and next steps without a meeting room. There is no office to visit, and none is needed.

How do I know if my PPC campaigns are working?

Judge them on business results: leads, sales, revenue, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend, not clicks or impressions. That only works if conversion tracking is accurate, so we check tracking first. Where possible we tie ad data to real sales or lead quality, not just form fills.

Should I manage PPC in-house or hire an agency?

In-house works when you have someone with the time and platform experience to keep accounts current. An agency suits teams that need specialists across several platforms, fresh testing ideas and reporting that ties spend to revenue. Many businesses start with an agency and bring parts of the work in-house later.

Do you provide PPC audits?

Yes. An audit reviews your account structure, tracking, keywords and search terms, ads, budgets and landing pages, then ranks the fixes by likely impact. See our Google Ads audit, or use the form below to ask for a review.

What is remarketing and why does it matter?

Remarketing shows ads to people who have already visited your site or engaged with your brand. Most visitors do not convert on the first visit, so remarketing keeps you in front of warmer audiences, usually at a lower cost per conversion than cold traffic. Linen House used remarketing as part of the campaign that grew paid revenue 109%. See our remarketing service.

Should we start advertising now for the 2032 Games?

Only if the demand is already there. Construction, tourism and event suppliers are positioning early, but paid search responds to what people search today. We start with the searches that bring leads now and build the account so it can scale as Games-related demand grows.

What should I look for in a PPC agency?

Ask who owns the ad accounts, how conversions are measured, what the reports lead with, and how spend is split by margin. Look for published results in your kind of business, not just headline figures. Be wary of agencies that report clicks and impressions but cannot show revenue or cost per lead.
