Melbourne's Trusted PPC Management Partner
Melbourne PPC management from a team that runs Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and remarketing every day. In one of Australia's two largest markets, fashion, food and arts brands need tighter bidding and sharper landing pages than the crowd, and that is what we deliver.
Real Mojo Dojo clients, on the record.
Why paid search is harder here than it looks.
More than half a million small businesses operated across the greater metro area in 2023, 550,957 of them, and around two thirds were sole operators. Add national brands chasing the same city-wide terms, and most commercial auctions are crowded long before you enter. Our job as a PPC management agency is to plan, run and keep improving your paid ads on Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn so they return leads and revenue, not just clicks, in a market where careless bidding gets expensive fast.
Two features of the city shape how we do it. The first is sprawl. The metro area grew by about 105,000 people in 2024-25, the largest numeric rise of any Australian capital, and the fastest-growing areas were on the outer west and north: Rockbank, Fraser Rise and Mickleham. An account tuned for Richmond and South Yarra can be close to invisible in Werribee or Tarneit. The second is language. At the 2021 Census 37.7% of households spoke a language other than English at home, with Mandarin, Vietnamese, Greek, Punjabi and Arabic the most common, so a single English ad set leaves real demand untouched.
At the top end, professional services, finance and health made up 46% of jobs in the City of Melbourne in 2024. Those are high-value, regulated categories where cost per click is steep and compliant ad copy matters. We plan budgets around that reality and around the SEO work that makes paid clicks land better. Our guide to SEO, PPC and SEM explains how the two fit.
Our nationwide offer is described on the PPC Management Australia page. The same service is available in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
In Melbourne we also offer Google Ads, Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads. See all of our Melbourne services.

PPC management in Melbourne: scale and seasons.
Four sourced figures behind how we plan targeting and budgets for Victorian advertisers.
Where PPC budgets leak, and what we do about it.
Six ways paid budget leaks, two of them shaped by how this city is built and who lives in it.
Conversions are counted wrongly
Double-counted form fills, reloaded thank-you pages and missing call tracking make an account look better or worse than it is, and automated bidding then learns from bad data.
Measurement is fixed first
We audit every conversion action, remove duplicates, add call and form tracking, and feed real lead or revenue value back to the platform where we can.
Ads show for the wrong searches
Broad and phrase match can trigger ads on loosely related queries, so budget goes to clicks that were never going to buy.
Search terms reviewed continually
We mine search term reports, add negatives, tighten match types and separate brand from non-brand so you can see what new customers really cost.
One campaign, one budget, no control
When everything is lumped together, the products or services that earn the most are starved while weak ones absorb spend.
Budget follows margin and return
Campaigns are split by intent and value, and budget moves toward what returns most, judged against your margins rather than platform averages.
Good clicks, poor landing page
Paid traffic sent to a generic or slow page converts badly, and platforms can charge more for a weak landing page experience.
Pages built for the ad
We match page to message, cut form friction and test variants. See our conversion rate optimisation service.
English-only ads in a multilingual city
More than a third of metro households speak another language at home. Ads and landing pages written only in English miss buyers who search in Mandarin, Vietnamese or Greek, and competitors who translate get those clicks cheaply.
Ads for the communities you serve
Where your customers justify it, we build in-language ad groups and matching landing pages, test them against English versions and keep only what lowers cost per lead.
One blended number for a sprawling metro
A single cost per lead hides the difference between inner suburbs and growth corridors in the west and north. Budget keeps flowing to areas that look fine on average but lose money.
Results split by region and suburb group
Reports break down leads, sales and cost by the areas you serve, with plain commentary, so budget moves toward the suburbs that return most.
Industries we help in Melbourne.
Six sectors, six different reasons to buy clicks, and how we set up each account.
Professional and technical services
The largest employer in the CBD municipality. For consultancies, legal, engineering and IT firms we run LinkedIn by job title and tight search campaigns on the services that win retainers, reported as cost per qualified lead.
Finance and insurance
The fastest-growing sector in the municipality since 2019. Search clicks are expensive and ad rules strict, so we build compliant copy, exact-match structure and call tracking before we raise budgets.
Health and allied health
Hospitals were the largest single employer of metro residents in 2021. Clinics get suburb-targeted booking campaigns and, where the patient base calls for it, ads in the languages their patients use.
International education
Victoria's largest services export, worth $17.9 billion in 2025. For colleges and student services we run multilingual search, Meta and YouTube campaigns timed to the February and July intakes.
Hospitality, venues and events
Victoria's visitor economy reached about $40 billion in 2024. We lift budgets for the Open, the Grand Prix and Cup Carnival, then scale back, so peak weeks are funded and quiet weeks are not wasted.
Ecommerce and delivery brands
Point Cook was the third-highest location in Australia for online parcel volume in 2024. We run Shopping and Performance Max with feed clean-up, and weight bids toward the suburbs that buy most.

How PPC advertising works.
Most PPC platforms sell ad space through an auction that runs each time someone searches or scrolls. You choose who you want to reach and what you are willing to pay for a result. The platform then decides whether your ad enters the auction and where it appears.
On Google Ads, position depends on Ad Rank, which combines your bid with the quality of your ad and landing page and the context of the search. That is why the highest bidder does not always win, and why a relevant ad on a fast page can cost less per click than a poor one. Quality Score, a 1 to 10 diagnostic shown in the account, is a useful signal of how well keyword, ad and landing page fit together.
Other platforms work on similar principles with different inputs. Meta and LinkedIn weigh your bid against how likely the audience is to engage. Managing PPC well means knowing what each auction rewards and shaping the account to match. For the biggest platform, see our Google Ads management service.

PPC and SEO work best together.
Paid search buys speed and control. You can be on page one tomorrow, target exact audiences and switch budgets on and off. Organic search builds an asset that keeps bringing traffic without a cost per click. Each channel makes the other cheaper to run.
Search term data from paid campaigns shows which keywords convert, so we know which pages are worth ranking for. Organic data shows which pages already convert, so we know where paid clicks will land well. Bfree is a good example: running Google Ads management alongside SEO, sales rose 1000% and organic traffic 192%.
If you are deciding where to start, our guide to SEO vs PPC vs SEM sets out the trade-offs, and our SEO service covers the organic side.

Areas we serve in Melbourne.
We manage campaigns remotely for businesses across the metro area. In and around the CBD that includes Carlton, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Richmond, South Yarra, St Kilda and Brunswick, plus Docklands, Southbank and the Parkville biomedical precinct.
East and south-east, we work with firms around Hawthorn, Balwyn, Box Hill, Mount Waverley, Glen Waverley, Ringwood, Dandenong and Frankston. In the west and north the growth corridors of Footscray, Point Cook, Werribee, Tarneit and Epping need their own targeting, because demand there is growing faster than most advertisers have noticed.

What are PPC management services?
PPC management services cover the planning, setup, daily running and reporting of pay per click advertising. That includes keyword and audience research, ad copy and creative, bidding and budgets, tracking, landing page advice and regular reporting, across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta and LinkedIn.
Do you work with Melbourne businesses in person?
We work remotely with every client, including those in Victoria. Planning sessions and monthly reviews run over video calls, and your spend, leads and cost per lead sit in shared reporting you can open whenever you like.
How is PPC different from SEO?
PPC buys visibility. You pay per click or action, results start quickly and you control who sees the ad. SEO earns visibility over months and has no cost per click, but takes longer to build. Most businesses do best running both, each informing the other. Our guide to SEO vs PPC vs SEM goes through the trade-offs.
Which PPC platforms should I advertise on?
It depends on where your buyers are and what a customer is worth. Search ads suit people who already know what they want. Shopping suits online stores. LinkedIn suits B2B lead generation. Meta and TikTok suit demand creation and visual products. We recommend a mix after understanding your margins, not a fixed package.
Should we run ads in languages other than English?
If your customers search in them, yes. More than a third of metro households use another language at home. We check search demand in the languages your customers use, then test in-language ads and pages against English ones before committing more budget.
How long does it take to see results from PPC?
Traffic starts as soon as campaigns are approved, but useful conclusions take longer. Platforms need data to learn, so expect the first weeks to be about collecting it and removing waste, with efficiency improving as tests conclude. Linen House cut marketing cost by 40% while paid revenue grew 109%, which is the pattern good management aims for.
How do I know if my PPC campaigns are working?
Judge them on business results: leads, sales, revenue, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend, not clicks or impressions. That only works if conversion tracking is accurate, so we check tracking first. Where possible we tie ad data to real sales or lead quality, not just form fills.
Should I manage PPC in-house or hire an agency?
In-house works when you have someone with the time and platform experience to keep accounts current. An agency suits teams that need specialists across several platforms, fresh testing ideas and reporting that ties spend to revenue. Many businesses start with an agency and bring parts of the work in-house later.
How do you plan PPC around the Open, Grand Prix and Cup?
We map the events that move your category and set budgets, bids and ad copy ahead of each one. Hospitality and retail accounts get extra budget for the peak weeks and a planned step down afterwards, so spend follows demand rather than lagging it.
Do you provide PPC audits?
Yes. An audit reviews your account structure, tracking, keywords and search terms, ads, budgets and landing pages, then ranks the fixes by likely impact. See our Google Ads audit, or use the form below to ask for a review.
What is remarketing and why does it matter?
Remarketing shows ads to people who have already visited your site or engaged with your brand. Most visitors do not convert on the first visit, so remarketing keeps you in front of warmer audiences, usually at a lower cost per conversion than cold traffic. Linen House used remarketing as part of the campaign that grew paid revenue 109%. See our remarketing service.
What should I look for in a PPC agency?
Ask who owns the ad accounts, how conversions are measured, what the reports lead with, and how spend is split by margin. Look for published results in your kind of business, not just headline figures. Be wary of agencies that report clicks and impressions but cannot show revenue or cost per lead.
